Welcome to Cynthia Leeder Photography

Garland Ranch Regional Park

I have hiked at Garland Ranch a couple of times now and found it to be a very pretty park.  On December 22, 2007 I went back to  see if I could maybe kinda sorta do some serious photography there. Most of the park is in the hills and you have to hike up some seriously steep trails to visit those areas. I didn’t bother with climbing any hills on this day and just stuck to the flatter areas along and near the Carmel River.  It wasn’t really the best day for photography but you have to start somewhere and Garland Ranch can present some difficult lighting to deal with.  I like a challenge though and while most of my pictures were blah, I can see the possibilities and I will go back again and again and again to work the scenes there.  And maybe, just maybe, by the time I have been there 3 dozen times or so, I will have some great pictures too post.  So here are the results of my first effort. Look for more in the future!
