December 20, 2007 was a cold, overcast, and misty rainy type of day at the Elkhorn Slough but the green colors of the grass and trees really jumped out at me. And even though the sky was gray and otherwise uninteresting, the water in the slough was mirror smooth and made for some neat reflections. So put it all together and it was a nice day to be out there to walk the trails with my camera and practice a little photography. It all made for a peaceful day and even the roar of a freight train that came rumbling through hardly disturbed it. Otherwise the sound of the seabirds and the click of my shutter was virtually all the noise I heard and I hope the pictures below reflect the serenity of this great park. Enjoy!
